“Enigma” – 19” x 25” Pastel – off white double matted, with dark brown wood frame.
The wolf is a mysterious beast; much aligned and misunderstood throughout a large part of history. More recently, we have come to realize their value as part of a well balanced ecosystem.
When I painted “Enigma”, my goal was to create a piece that provoked questions such as, “How many wolves are in the painting or just outside our view? Are these wolves hiding or are they hunting? Are they assessing potential danger or potential prey? Is a lesson being taught to future generations?”
