“Hidden Fairies” – 9” x 12” Pastel – off-white mat, with a muted copper metallic frame.
Inspired by a friend’s garden at the edge of a forest, I produced this painting. However, I could not decide what to call it. A long time later, another friend showed me the “fairy garden” that she and her granddaughter built at the base of two old trees. When I saw that, I knew that my no-name painting would be called “Hidden Fairies”.
The magic of inspiration comes from different places and times, but it is often connected to seemingly unrelated situations.
